Starlight and Flowers

Quick “Restart” Art

Good morning!

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you just had to start over? Yeah well I’m sure we all have. Try this little project. It only takes a couple of minutes and a couple dollars.

Just grab yourself a canvas and paint, any color you like (I would suggest a color that is inspiring to you.) and a paint brush. You can find these supplies at any dollar store.

😆 I like to buy a few canvases and colors of paint and have them on hand.

And simply, cover the canvas with the color. Be mindful of your brush strokes, sweeping across and up and down.. And calmly cover the entire tiny canvas.

It will only take you a couple of moments, remember to be mindful of your breathing. And relax your shoulders.

The process itself seems simple, and it is, but it’s still a process and it’s still a project, even though it is a tiny project and It gets done quickly, your mind has to change to do it.

You must enter the creative side of your mind.

Your brain might interject some resistance, but just let those thoughts pass and breathe through them and finish your tiny project.

And there you have it. You’re beautiful canvas!

When it drys, you can paint something on it or leave it the way it is, but it’s there for you and you can think of it as a symbol of the “canvas of your day.”

So if you’re ever having a day that just started off on the wrong foot, or you got up on the wrong side of the bed, try this quick little exercise in art and see if it doesn’t bring you, also, a “restart” to your day!

☀️🙂
