I am just so pumped! Starlight And Flowers has brought together some phenomenal people, and we have coordinated some wonderful things! Taking art to another level! Well, at least for me lol! I knew that the art was making me feel better and I knew that I was actually reaching for my art pieces for my wellness and my mental health, but I didn’t realize that it was a thing! It’s a thing called, “art therapy, “ and it’s amazing!

Psychiatrists and psychologists have been using methods within art therapy to help people for many years. Now, with all of the information out there for all of us it is become a lot more mainstream, and the resources and the guidance within the art therapy modalities can be used by regular people like you and I, for wellness and well-being, through personal, mindfulness, taking that time that we need for ourselves and creating something beautiful!

With no judgment! Absolutely no judgment! That’s the number one rule. Really allowing yourself to flow in the art process is where the benefits exist, so you do not want to have any kind of barriers, just flow…

And you’ll be amazed what you learn about yourself in the process!

So I loved it so much! That I enrolled in an art therapy certification course which I’ve almost completed now! I will not be a therapist that can diagnose emotional or mental issues but what I can do is awesome!!

What I can do, is, I can share the resources and help guide those who would like to find this wonderful creative oasis and personal well-being and understanding that I have. And that’s my goal. It’s had such a profound effect on my own life that I wanna share that with others.

I’m in the process now of getting certified, which will be soon this month. Then, I will be announcing the class dates. I am creating entry level, art classes designed to be calming, low stress, community, connecting environments.

And of course with me! I always have to have a little twist and imagination involved! So they will be fun classes! I am considering a few different themes and we will have music and we will chat and we will connect and make some beautiful pieces of art together!
